Unity is not considered a good engine though so if Obsidian can make the sequel look basically the same with a different engine, I wouldn't mind them using a different one for PoE 2. WebDivinity and PoE are RPGs with turn based elements. Xcom is a turn based strategy game with very light RPG elements. If you want strategy, get Xcom 1. It has aged well. Then get the Xpac and play through it again with that. Then the sequel and the next Xpac. WebMay 18, 2024 · DOS2 and PoE2 are both excellent but they offer very different gameplay experiences. PoE2 is probably most similar to BG2 with its real-time combat and huge off-critical-path content, whereas DOS2 is what you'd get if you fused BG1 with ToEE and then added a bit of Skyrim for flavor.
WebDivinity Original Sin 2 has the better engine, the better world, and better presentation. It gets even better with the engine with Baldur's Gate III !!! ... I love PoE and it's one of the best games for me and waiting for 3rd :) I don't think this game to be better, definitly no. But i think this part (2nd, not Kingsmaker) to be sort of equal game.
